* In just a few minutes, Karasu is outside the Nurse's office. The door is closed, but he can hear the slight sounds of activity within. * Karasu opens the door. * Inside the room is a phenomenally beautiful woman in the standard nursing uniform. Blonde hair, blue eyes, tall and shapely. * The woman looks up from her small pile of forms. "Oh, is there a problem already?" * Karasu nods. "Our captain has been unconscious for days. I was told to bring him here if he did not wake up this morning." * She nods. "Good idea. Just set him down on that bed, there. Do you have any idea why he hasn't woken up? He was attacked, presumeably. Well, of _course_ he was attacked. I mean, was his soul sucked out, was it a normal head injury, was he subjected to a telepathic assault, or "other?" The first, likely. Okay, do you know who took it, and what the conditions are for getting it back? Hmm... I'm not entirely sure how to answer that. I know someone is copying his abilities, but this person claims to be different from the actual attacker. * The nurse digs out a form from a drawer full of various forms. * Karasu waits for the nurse to find whatever form she needs. * The nurse has pulled out a form and has a pen ready. * Karasu waits for her to ask a question, then :P Okay, what I need to know is, who has the soul in question. Someone who looks like Kai. ...would you care to explain that? * Karasu shrugs. "He looks like Kai, except a few minor differences. Longer nose, for instance." Do you have a name? Called himself Tulpa. I don't believe he's the one who actually attacked Kai, however. * The nurse jots down "Tulpa" in a blank on the form. Okay, so the person who actually attacked him is unknown, but somehow Tulpa ended up with the soul? * Karasu nods. Very well. Do you know the conditions for getting the soul back? One of them dies, or Tulpa releases him. Good, good. Pretty standard, there. Sounds like you've dealt with this before. * Nurse jots more notes. "Oh, it's not common by any stretch of the imagination, but it happens sometimes." And what's the usual result? Well, we haven't had a death in a while. Usually people force the offender to give in and release the soul. Challenges work, too. You _do_ know how to issue a formal challenge, right? As a matter of fact, no. Oh. And here I thought everybody knew that. Well, first you summon a Pep with the challenge form. Since the Peps are pretty much everywhere, all you need to do is say "I need a challenge form." out in the open somewhere indoors. * The nurse sighs as a Pep appears out of nowhere with a form in its hands. So literal-minded. I don't actually need the form, dear, you can go. I see. Anyway, you take the form, fill it out with the team challenging, the team challenged, and the stakes of the challenge. The challenge will be approved or disapproved by the faculty, and if it's approved, it'll be scheduled normally as one of your morning fights. But I don't think this person's on any team. And I might perfer to challenge alone. Actually, assuming the name he gave you is right, he _is_ on a team, and I'm afraid that individual challenges are... much more rarely approved. Hm. What year is he? You could try challenging him unofficially, of cour-oh, he's a freshman. I remember reading his name when I reviewed the files on the new class. * Karasu nods. "I'll consider it, then." As you like. I'll take care of your friend for now. I appreciate it. * The nurse takes a big rubber stamp and stamps a date on the form and files it away. * Karasu heads back to the room.
