* The doors of the cafeteria slam open as Mariah exits, and she can see Kairi just ten feet or so away, ready to enter the cafeteria. * Karasu heads towards the cafeteria! * Mariah heads cafeteriaward as well, stepping up her speed a bit to catch up with Karasu. * Karasu glances at her. "Mariah." * Cafeteria is serving cafeteria eggs, and microwaved waffles, and cafeteria sausage, and other nummy cafeteria breakfast food. Karasu. What's up? * Karasu heads to the counter. "I got hungry." * Mariah follows. "Makes sense. Probably a good idea to get out of there while the getting's good." * Karasu nods. "I agree." Just getting so tired of it... * Karasu nods. "Understandably so. I bet they've started exchanging blows by now." I hope not, but... you're probably right. On fight day, too... Yet you're here, and not arguing. Maybe you should be leader. * Mariah laughs, not entirely lightheartedly. "What, and deal with them? Ao-Lang already thinks I shouldn't even be here." * Slowly, students begin to filter in for breakfast before classes. * Karasu chuckles. "It wouldn't matter. Leadership is a trait, more than a title. And with our group, I hardly think it matters who the captain is." * Karasu gathers food and finds a place to sit. * Mariah follows with her tray. "Yeah. I mean, I'd rather Hope stayed captain, but it's not like it matters that much, you know? I just don't want this to go on too long." * Karasu takes a seat. "They need to look at the bigger picture. In my opinion." Seriously. I mean, Ao-Lang's so focused on winning, and that's okay, but if she keeps it up we're not going to be able to win. We need to stick together or we're sunk. I think the best strategy is to keep their tendancies in mind, and cover their weaknesses. In fights or everywhere else? Or both? For the upcoming fight. Hopefully they'll get better about it later. I really hope so. This can't go on. If we can get through today... we'll see from there, I guess. * Karasu nods. If we can get through today. That's the big thing. * Karasu nods again. "There's no telling the outcome." * Mariah shrugs and pokes at her waffle. "Yeah... I think we have a good shot if they can get it together." Possibly. Still, I wonder what happened to Kairi? That really worries me. I'm going to go ask around after the fight tonight if I can, see if any of the other shamans know. * Karasu nods. I assume Kai is still around somehow, but... He may well not be. And maybe he isn't. I don't know enough about shamanism to tell. Perhaps. But we have to be ready for that possibility. That one's kind of the easy one. If it happens, we have to move on and let Isaac train. If he's willing to. Well, or do what he wants. It's his choice at that point. I agree. * Karasu eats as he talks. * Mariah is making gradual waffle progress. Somehow. "But if Kai is still around... we have to figure out what to do. Because we need Kai back, but it's not fair to just kick Isaac out, and... it's complicated." That's up to the faculty. That too. [Session End] Session Close: Wed Jun 22 23:07:10 2005
