* Daphne goes back in to make sure she has her stuff, first, then leaves, navigating her way through the maze of the Tower. * The servants ignore you, you being richly dressed enough that they shouldn't bother you. * You emerge from the tower and you can see the backside of the great ziggurat. On the other side, you know, is the colliseum, and the rest of the city on the other side of that. * Daphne stops, if she can, in the garden on her way out and has a quick breakfast of trail rations and some unfermented nectar she picked up somewhere. * Daphne heads towards the colliseum, then, seeming in a downright cheerful mood. * Daphne proceeds at a light stroll, not being in a hurry. * The entrances of the colliseum are wide open, and doing a bustling business. A steady stream of people is flowing in both directions. * Daphne walks on in. ^_^ * The roar of the crowd is steady, and you can hear the bookmakers eagerly doing business. * Daphne looks around for either Gorbach or a big sign reading 'applicants sign in here'. * There is a small booth set up where a few fighters appear to be standing, waiting for something. * Daphne walks over there and tries to get the attention of the last guy in line. Yo. * Fighter looks down at Daphne, he must be almost seven feet tall, and is built like Hulk Hogan in his prime. Is this the line to sign up? Yeah. You don't look like much, though. You sure you wanna fight? * Daphne shrugs. "Gotta learn somewhere." Oh ho! A trainee. You've picked a good place to learn! * Fighter FLEXES, obviously trying to impress Daphne. * Daphne smirks and raises an eyebrow. * Daphne holds out a hand to shake. "Daphne McAlpin. And you are?" * Fighter takes Daphne's hand. "Zophar." * Daphne shakes. You been in this buisness long? All my life. I was just freed. Ah. Congratulations, an' stuff. * Fighter nods. "Thanks." Decided you didn't wanna stop fighting, tho? It's what I know how to do. And now that the King's banned deathmatches, it's just a respectable living. * Daphne nods. "Yeah." She idly checks to see if the line has moved any, and says "So, y'don think I look like much, eh?" Not really. You're kinda scrawny, and you don't hold yourself well. * Fighter glances backward as the clerk clears his throat. Oh, it's my turn. * Fighter turns around. * Daphne nods. * Fighter turns around again as he finishes registration, which is entirely verbal. Seeya in the pits. * Fighter walks down a stairway next to the booth. Sure thing. Next! * Daphne steps up to the clerk. "'Lo." Name? Daphne. Next of kin? None. Style? Unarmed. Specialty? * Daphne shrugs. "None, really." Very good. Skill level? Novice. Newbie. Trainee. Very well. Down the stairway. Your name will be called shortly. * Daphne nods and goes down the stairway.
