The current champion of the Phoenix clan, by reputation Nobuyasu is a quiet, peaceful man, given to meditation and contemplation. The Elemental Senate often chafes under his veto power.
According to rumor, he went into seclusion nearly a year ago and has not emerged, and why remains the subject of much speculation. Rumors of his death are definitely exaggerated, however, as Ofushikai has not appeared to choose a new champion.
