First Impressions

Iwane Kawa leads the way, pushing open a door into the backstage area, to be greeted immediately by a Shosuro in a puppetlike mask, complete with puppet-mouth and eyes. When she speaks, the mouth moves, and the eyes move with startling realism.

The Shosuro bows deeply, almost double, and says lightly, but in a voice that carries, "Welcome backstage, Iwane-sama. I am Shosuro Itona, and we are the Hidden Strings troupe. We would be honored to answer any questions you have about our art."
