First Impressions

The very last student steps up, introduces herself as Shiba Akemi, and drops into her stance. No sooner has Shinju dropped into her own than the duel is over. Both stand with blades drawn, but only Shosuro Shinju is bleeding, from a long cut up the side of her face, costing her -another- mask... and a large hank of hair.

Additional Information

Shiba Akemi was the final (seventh?) duelist to face Shosuro Shinju in her first attempt on the Burning Wing dojo sign. The account of the Burning Wing dojo challenge presented to Shiba Sanshiro Daimyo of Shiro Shiba reflects favorably on her skill. Akemi was born a Kakita, and became a Shiba upon her marriage to Shiba Iwamoto, then the likely next master of the Shiba Tejina.
