The Sakura are one of the two factions in the Scorpion Schism. As a rule, they are traditionalists, opposed to the idea of recognizing the New Citizens and Rokugani rule over the former Empire of the Burning Sands. They tend to come from the Scorpion Heartlands, tend to be from more established and richer families, and did not benefit much from the War of The Two Suns
